The origins of this weblog is Earth’s Tree News, an international forest monitoring project that has published nearlly 300 in-depth newletters in the past 3 years…

And it’s now sink or swim time for Earth’s Tree News!

As much as I love to do this research it’s part of my old life as a grad student. And to the extent it’s part of my new life as a non-sudent who is developing a career with an income, that’s the question… One of the answers may be for a revenue stream / career for me is creating a web-based TV show based on the popular email newletter: Earth’s Tree News!

One of the more rewarding parts of creating Earth Tree News is all the images I’ve managed to collect…

My pictures folder on my computer almost up to 9,000 images!

In the long run the main use of these photos is going to be done via online video slide shows, as well as live performing arts presentations.

The idea is to inspire people to get involved in protecting nature by showing the actual beauty of nature. This is then combined with well chosen poetry and some improvisational music to set mood.
